Common questions about WordPress care

What happens if a plugin update breaks the site?
We test against a staging snapshot first — most regressions are caught before they touch production. If something does break in production, we roll back the specific plugin or change manually, not by restoring an old backup. The monthly off-site backup is the safety net for catastrophic events (compromise, accidental deletion), not routine update-rollback. Sites that need yesterday-fresh restore points should be on Digital Care or higher.
Can I edit the site myself between updates?
Yes. You keep your admin login and full editing access. We maintain the underlying stack (WordPress core, plugins, security, hosting) — your content workflow stays exactly as it was.
What's covered in the 30-min change budget?
Content edits, image swaps, small CSS tweaks, adding a new menu item, fixing a broken link. Not new features (booking flows, member areas, custom post types) — those go via a separate quote because they need design + testing, not just an edit.
Do you cover WooCommerce sites?
Yes — with the Digital Care or Operational Care tier. WooCommerce updates need more rigorous regression testing than plain WordPress because checkout breakage costs revenue immediately. The R1,250 Site Care tier does not cover WooCommerce.
What about security incidents?
Backup restoration is included — if a site is compromised, we restore from a clean backup within hours. Full forensics + cleanup (root-cause analysis, removing implants from a database, hardening) is a separate engagement because the scope varies by incident.
Can I cancel monthly?
Yes. Month-to-month, 30 days notice. No annual lock-in, no cancellation fees, no "you'll lose your data" leverage. We don't want clients staying because they're stuck.
