When the website is the operation.

Tier 3 WordPress care: 4 hours of dedicated dev time, quarterly strategy, priority support, and a real human you can call when something breaks. R4,500 a month, no annual lock-in.

What's in Operational Care

Operational Care is Digital Care plus dedicated capacity. It's for businesses where the website generates revenue or runs the operation, where unplanned downtime costs more in a single afternoon than the retainer costs in a month. You get the monthly stack, four hours of named dev time, and a real human on call when something breaks.

  • Everything in Digital Care

Site Care plus performance budget enforcement, monthly content hour, quarterly site review, image optimisation refresh. The foundation is assumed here, not re-listed.

  • 4 hours dedicated dev time / month

Small feature additions, integration tweaks, complex content workflows, deep troubleshooting. Use it or lose it within the month; it doesn't bank. Anything beyond 4 hours goes via separate quote at retainer rate.

  • Quarterly strategy call + roadmap

60-min video call plus a written 2-3 page roadmap document. Concrete recommendations with effort estimates for the next 3-6 months: what to build, what to retire, what's slowing down. Not visioning.

  • Priority support, next-business-day SLA

Non-emergency issues acknowledged within 4 business hours, resolved by end of next business day. Emergencies (site down, security incident, broken checkout) handled same-day, 7 days a week.

  • Staging environment + deploy pipeline

Full staging copy of production. Deploys via merge-to-main with automated tests. You review changes before they ship; we can roll back in minutes if something lands wrong.

  • Custom integration work

Third-party APIs, CRM connections, custom form workflows, single sign-on. Inside the 4-hour budget if scope fits; quoted separately if larger. We tell you which before we start, not after.

Common questions about Operational Care

How does the 4 hours of dev time work?
Use it or lose it within the month; it doesn't bank. Examples that fit inside 4 hours: 2-3 small feature additions, a custom integration with a third-party tool, or a deep performance audit plus fix. Larger projects go via a separate quote at retainer rate (10-15% lower than our standard rate).
What's the SLA for "priority support"?
Non-emergency: acknowledged within 4 business hours; resolution targeted by end of next business day. Emergency (site down, security incident, broken checkout): same-day response, including weekends. We use this phrasing because it's what we can actually deliver, not a 99.99% number nobody believes.
What counts as "strategy" in the quarterly call?
Concrete recommendations with effort estimates: what to build next, what to retire, what's slowing down, what's costing more than it should. Not visioning sessions. Output: 2-3 page written document so the work survives the call.
When does a business outgrow Operational Care?
When you need more than 4 hours of dedicated dev time per month consistently, or when you need always-on capacity for a custom platform (not a website). That's the threshold where Enterprise makes sense. We build platforms with dedicated teams from there.
Can I bring my own developer?
Yes. We can collaborate or hand over the staging environment. We don't gatekeep access. If your developer takes over completely, you'd move to a lower-tier retainer for hosting and monitoring only.
What about emergency work outside business hours?
Site-down and security incidents get same-day response 7 days a week. Non-emergency after-hours work isn't included; that goes via quote with an after-hours premium. We don't dress this up. Calling it "priority support" doesn't mean we work weekends for non-emergencies.

Operational Care is your tech team without the hiring. We've maintained one client's Laravel platform for six years across three CTO turnovers. The website outlasted three management teams. The retainer pays for continuity: the same people who shipped the site are the ones answering when something breaks at 4pm on a Friday. That's the work Operational Care buys.
